I wish I could say I've been a fan of Sonic my whole life, like a lot of other superfans. But that's just not true!

I grew up knowing of Sonic... Saw some clips of Sonic Boom on YouTube, could probably tell you "he's that blue guy that goes fast," watched the first movie with my dad... But I wasn't a fan or anything. Sonic just kinda existed.

But that all changed in 2024. I was working on something or another, as my dad watched TV. Out of the corner of my eye, I see this flash of color that catches my attention. I look up, and am suddenly enamored by the coolest thing I've ever seen in my whole life. Shadow The Hedgehog.

Then... I cared. I cared a lot. I looked up what order to play the games. I played Origins on my Switch. I watched playthroughs of other since my crappy laptop couldn't run emulators well. I was hooked! I wanted to know everything about this hedgehog and his friends!

My Christmas present that year was a trip to the movies to see Sonic 3. And from that day on, I've lived-laughed-loved Sonic.
